David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an HRIS Analyst that can provide outstanding service to HR customers and is based in Calgary, Alberta.

The Role:

  • Process HR transactions with quality, timeliness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve while encouraging self-service
  • Accountable for working with HRIS to develop reports and analytics that meet business and functional needs
  • Liaison between HRIS and shared services for technology process knowledge sharing and Tier I technology support
  • Gather business requirements and develop functional specifications for reports and/or configuration requests
  • Collaborate with HR team regarding application upgrades, functional changes, training and streamlining of operational processes
  • Assist in data analytics and creates and analyzes complex reports
  • Day to day activities related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of HR system
  • Support managers, employees, and HR staff in the execution and consistent application of core HR processes and activities and provides solutions
  • Support data collection across the company
  • Provide accurate, consistent and timely responses to HR process, system and data requests
  • Make recommendations for improved/streamlined procedures, seeking to improve efficiency
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for resolving new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related area preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of a combined professional experience in HR and/or information systems, with at least 2 years of basic HRIS experience
  • Applicable experience and knowledge of system enhancements, improvements and testing
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and innovative skills
  • Must have worked in an ERP implementation Environment (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Sage, Peoplesoft etc.)
