David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit Hospitality /Administrative Assistants based in Calgary, AB.

Our client is looking for client service and team oriented individual(s) who have a warm and friendly demeanor, willingness to deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  A client-care attitude and professionalism are required.

Hospitality Responsibilities
  • Facilitate kitchen operations and attend to all hospitality requests.
  • Setup / maintenance of boardrooms for meetings and other events.
  • Order breakfasts/lunches/dinners on request from various catering vendors.
  • Maintain and track supplies for hospitality department.
  • Manage, maintain and supply all kitchen facilities throughout the firm.
  • Offer a friendly and professional greeting to clients and visitors to the Firm. 
Reception Responsibilities
  • Provide switchboard services by routing telephone inquiries and providing information accordingly. 
  • Booking of meeting room and other requirements, including ordering of beverage & food requested for meetings.
  • Assist with other tasks as may be required, i.e. reporting, data entry, administrative duties, hospitality events etc.
  • Assist with routine operations as part of the Reception and Hospitality team.
  • Offer refreshment to clients and visitors while they wait, maintain a tidy reception and client waiting area, organize newspapers, etc. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma, an Office Administration Certificate would be an asset.
·ProServe certification is a must.
  • Minimum of two years of hospitality/reception/switchboard experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication and confident professional telephone manner are required with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritizing and solving problems in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook as well as online meeting room booking systems would be an asset.
