David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our Downtown client to recruit an Administrative Assistant for a 6 month contract.

Our client, a division of the Government, is looking a fully functioning AS5 to assist for a 6 month medical leave. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the office day to day operations.

The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, detail oriented, adaptable, patient and have previous Provincial Government Experience at an AS5 level. Intermediate - Advanced Word, Excel, ARTS, IMAGIS experience is essential.

The Role:

  • Assist the Office manager in all administrative duties related to operations
  • Calendar management for the OM
  • Processing expenses and formatting documents
  • Assisting with Budgeting and forecasting for the department
  • Creating correspondences and answering emails/phone calls for the OM
  • IMAGIS - reconciliation and inquires
  • Documentation of procedures
  • Coordinating events and taking meeting minutes
  • Organizing and coordinating work flow for new staff members
  • Reporting IT issues and dealing with outside vendors
  • Backing up reception
The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Senior Administrative Assistant
  • Previous experience in the Provincial Government as an AS5 is Required
  • Intermediate - Advanced Word, Excel, ARTS, IMAGIS experience
  • A quick learner with exceptional multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
