David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client in Mississauga, a leading company in the Food and Beverage industry to recruit a long-term Front Desk/Office Administrator.

The Role:

Reception Services
  • Performs the receptionist duties of greeting internal and external visitors to the head office. Administrative Support
  • Provides administrative assistance in support of Administration and facilities 
  • Prepares correspondence, internal memos, and documentation, as requested. 
  • Monitors and administers email account. 
  • Participates and contributes to Administrative Team meetings, and other meetings as required. Provides essential coaching/training to those persons doing short-term front desk coverage including participants of Unpaid Work Training program(s).

Records/Facilities management
  • Provide paper and electronic records management support to the agency, including data entry. 
  • Clerical Support-Performs clerical duties in support of the Administrative and Management team
  • Photocopies and scans materials, as requested, for example, training hand-outs, policy manuals, orientation binders, etc. 
  • Processing faxes, incoming/outgoing mail, courier pick-ups, and deliveries. 
  • Support Facilities (i.e.-Vending machine, supplies etc.)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary certificate in Office Administration, Administrative Studies or a related discipline is required. 
  • Minimum 3 years related administrative support experience is required-Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. 
  • Excellent customer service focus both internal and external. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written, verbal and listening communication skills. 
  • High degree of computer literacy, including very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and database systems
  • Excellent organizational, time management, planning and prioritization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage a diverse scope of duties and set priorities
  • Ability to use discretion, judgment, and tact in handling sensitive/confidential information/ situations. Ability to function independently and interdependently within a team environment.
