David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Field Sales Representative based in Edmonton, AB.

Our client is a highly successful Edmonton based company who maintains the exclusive distribution of high quality lubricant products to the Alberta region. David Aplin Group has been partnered with this quality employer for a number of years and we are very pleased to be assisting them in their search for a Field Sales Representative to help them grow their natural gas business in Northeast Alberta and beyond. 

This position will be based out of their Edmonton office and will report to their empowering and collaborative Sales Manager. Travelling across your territory, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining strong relationships with customers. If you enjoy being in the trenches developing relationships and achieving your sales targets, you will prosper with this company! 

The Role:

  • Maintain an existing account base and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Grow your account base by proactively seeking new customers and developing strong relationships
  • Nurture communication lines with all customers in order to gain insightful customer feedback and important industry news
  • Determine customer’s needs by demonstrating knowledge of the industry 
  • Work out of town 3 days per week with 8 - 12 overnights per month
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years’ field sales experience
  • Previous experience in using CRM systems
  • Solid working knowledge of the natural gas plant marketplace with a first-hand working knowledge of doing business in the Oil and Gas sector
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed customer’s needs and recommend solutions
  • Above average interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel and hold a valid Driver's License
