David Aplin Group has partnered with our client, a leader in the oil and gas sector, to recruit for a Field Sales and Business Development Representative to add to their growing team. 

This individual will be overseeing Saskatchewan, Manitoba and North West Ontario as part of their territory. This role will provide a successful candidate with challenging business opportunities as well as career progression as outlined by our client’s future growth plans. The successful candidate will be expected to develop current accounts, as well as attract new business to the portfolio.

Your Role in the Company:

  • Achieve volume and margin sales targets for fuel and oil business
  • Be a self-starter, autonomous, disciplined, responsive and well-versed in progressive business development strategies
  • Capable to implement and manage sales programs
  • Capable to prospect and identify new opportunities for business
  • A good attitude and team-player mentality
  • Willingness to travel. 50% of the work day should be client-facing. Overnight travel expectations are 3-4 per month

Background Profile:

  • Experience in the oil & gas sector is a huge asset
  • Minimum 5 years selling in a B2B sales environment
  • Selling into commercial or industrial clients is a must
  • Experience selling a commodity is an asset
  • Sales leadership experience is an asset as there is potential to manage a team
  • Knowledge of petroleum refining is ideal
