David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Executive Assistant to the Vice President. Our client, a well-known Health Organization located Downtown Edmonton, AB is looking to find an experienced Executive Assistant to fill a busy, 1 year maternity leave.

In this role you will support the innovative Vice President with his day to day schedule and corporate initiatives. This is a high-profile position for a polished professional with intermediate administrative skills. The successful Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently and use critical judgment skills when making decisions. 

The Role:

  • Manage the VP's calendar and book events for meetings based on priority
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, including flights, hotels and car rentals 
  • Responding to the VP's calls and emails in a professional manner
  • Preparing for committee meetings including booking rooms, organizing catering and preparing meeting agenda and materials and taking meeting minutes
  • Preparing expense reports and purchase orders
  • Coordinating with other Executive Assistants on major tasks
  • Other Executive Responsibilities as requested

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 5 years of experience working as an Executive Assistant
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Flexible and positive personality with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to in a team focused environment
  • Ability to use critical judgment
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality in a professional demeanor
