David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client in the Healthcare sector to recruit an Executive Assistant / Certified Meeting Planner based in Mississauga.  

This is a contract to hire position.
 
The Role:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of Medical Training and Education programs
  • Management of the On-line event registration database
  • Creation of marketing materials
  • Manage Food/Beverage, Time & Events, Arrival & Departures logs, Event Orders, Accommodation and Confirmation
  • Work with production companies, transportation companies, and other miscellaneous vendors.
  • Execution to include all the above
  • Post-event duties include evaluations, invoicing, reimbursements and expense reporting
  • Close interaction with the Corporate travel agency and flight personnel to manage air and ground operations.
  • Logistic support for conventions/ meetings
  • Liaise with internal and external personnel to include Management, Compliance, Distributors, Sales Reps, Healthcare 
  • Professionals and Vendors.
  • Minimal travel (20%) within GTA and USA

The Ideal Candidate:

  • B.S. Degree preferable in Hospitality Management, Business or similar
  • 3-5 years of experience in hospitality management or a similar industry
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), or other equivalent certification an asset
