ETL Developer - 1 yr Contract

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has an opportunity for an ETL Developer for a 1 yr. contract position.

The Role:
  • Gather and analyze customer needs for analytical applications
  • Work with various functional areas to define and document requirements for software solutions
  • Develop specifications and necessary amendments for the enrichment of content of analytical applications according to established priorities
  • Implement the changes by configuring the various components of analytical applications or module extraction, transformation and loading data (ETL), metadata templates, reports and management dashboards
  • Perform unit testing on the new configurations
  • Integrate new analytic applications to production applications and perform regression testing
  • In collaboration with business domain experts, check the validity of the information loaded into the data warehouse
  • Document technical specifications
  • Develop and document plans for implementation of projects
  • Perform activities for support and troubleshooting
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 4 years’ of ETL Development experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile development
  • Competency with PowerCenter (9.0 and higher) and Pushdown Optimization in Informatica
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality and SAS Data Integration Studio would be considered strong assets
