David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a well-established industrial equipment sales and service company, to recruit a Planning/Scheduling Technical Lead for their busy and growing industrial repair facility. Our client is located in the North/West side of the city.
Working 37.5 hours per week with occasional overtime, you will be reporting to the Director of Operations, with key responsibilities as follows.
Managing and improving upon quality control plan for equipment repairs
Working with the Service Manager to manage the documentation and scheduling of equipment repairs
Assisting in the preparation of “as found” reports and repair proposals
Filing and organizing technical documents and images in a network filing system
Managing and coordinating sales orders and purchase orders in Sage 300 ERP system
Involvement with the equipment repairs or preparation
Involvement with failure assessments and preparing “cause of failure” reports
Assisting with job planning and scheduling and related office communications
Assisting in development of shop procedures and policies
Coordinating shop equipment inventory and calibration management
Analyzing, developing and administering work-flow improvements and efficiencies into the assessment and repair process
Our client requires a well-organized individual with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They require an individual looking to learn on the job.
Preference will be given to candidates with some mechanical aptitude and/or experience. You should be well-versed in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) with good English writing and communication skills. Experience in using ERP systems like Sage 300 will be an asset.
