David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Director of First Impressions based in Edmonton, AB.

Our client, a Canada-wide business solutions firm in the downtown core, is currently seeking an Director of First Impressions to help them out for a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will report directly to the executive support team and will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support.

The successful candidate must possess excellent phone etiquette, a positive attitude, professional image and proven customer service skills within an Director of First Impressions role. As the Director of First Impressions you must be welcoming, warm, friendly, organized and have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

The Role:

  • Identifying, welcoming and directing visitors and clients as per executive standards
  • Professionally Answering and directing phone calls using a multi-line switchboard
  • Taking and passing messages in a timely manner
  • Setting up board rooms for executive level meetings
  • Booking meeting rooms and ordering catering
  • Liaising with building management when required
  • Assisting the team with mass mail outs
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail and couriers
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks
  • Monitoring stock levels and tracking order requirements and ensuring there are no shortage of stationery
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 10 years of office reception experience
  • Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to draft memos
  • Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to create basic spreadsheets and enter data
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Professional image and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities
