David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a local; family owned and operated Equipment Leasing Company. They are experiencing growth and change and are looking to add an experienced Finance/ Lease Coordinator to their team.
The Dedicated Lease Coordinator (DLC) position works closely with senior managerial or directorial staff to provide administrative support, usually on a one-to-one basis. DLC help managers to make the best use of their time by dealing with administrative tasks.
DLCs need extensive knowledge of the organization in which they work. They need to know who the key personnel is (both external and internal) and understand the organization's aims and objectives. Managers often rely heavily on their DLC, trusting that work will be handled efficiently in a timely manner and in their absence. Discretion and confidentiality are therefore essential attributes for a successful DLC.
Dedicated lease coordinators are often the first point of contact at the company for new and existing clients; phone inquiries, emails etc. are handled in a polite and professional manner
Handle existing client’s inquiries regarding prior leases, as well as answer questions for new leases and lessees; incoming calls will need to be forwarded to the correct department
DLC’s will produce a comprehensive file for credit approval. This involves accessing credit reports, updating client information, scheduling terms and specifications of the new lease as well as calculating debt servicing ratios for credit analysis
Maintain a relationship with various vendors around Western Canada; prompt response to vendors relating to sales leads and invoicing
Follow up with clients and service providers regarding missing documentation
Produce an accurate legal contract between lessees and the company; high attention to detail is required
