Customs Administrator - 3 to 4 Month Term

Our client, a leader in manufacturing, requires a Customs Administrator for an immediate temporary position for a minimum three to four month term role.

The successful candidate will coordinate all custom clearance for national and international vendors including all required documents to ensure compliance to Canada Custom regulations as well as providing administrative support to the compliance team.

The Role:

  • Administration of all customs documentation, ensuring strict compliance to rules and regulations
  • Assists with government department audits as they relate to the customs function
  • Prepares all manual customs entries and documentation including expense purchases, and other custom invoices
  • Work with custom brokers, shippers, and freight carriers to submit appropriate documentation for clearance 
  • Prepares other government department monthly reporting as required
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 plus  years of experience in the Customs field 
  • Working knowledge of Canada Customs legislation, Customs Act and other government requirement
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work that is deadline-critical
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
  • Experience in a transportation environment.
  • Certified Canadian Society Custom Broker or U.S Licensed Custom
Salary will range from $19-$21/hour depending  on experience.
