David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Business Development Manager

Our client, a North American piling solution and service provider, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the BDM is responsible for identifying and pursuing business development opportunities for the purpose of promoting the organizations products, engineering and service offerings. Utilizing your knowledge of industries and applications, you will motivate team members and work collaboratively with the management team to establish and implement sales and service strategies throughout the territory.

The Role:

  • Prepare and submit bid specifications to customer for review and approval
  • Follows-up on quotes and orders to verify material list and delivery schedule 
  • Attends sales and trade meetings 
  • Obtain current market condition information, business trends, and industry developments 
  • Inspects establishments to verify installation feasibility
  • Obtain specifications and drawings to submit to engineering department
  • Demonstrate and explain use of installation and production processes
  • Arrange installation and test-operation of machinery 
  • Recommend solutions to foundation related problems
  • Contact current and potential customers, visits establishments to evaluate needs, and promotes sale of products and services
  • Develop a strategic approach to account management for territory and area customers
  • Apply the organizations products and services to develop strong value propositions with clients 
  • Develop relationships with high level procurement and engineering managers
  • Solidify MSA’s with major end users
  • Accountable for revenues (bookings) and (margins)
The Ideal Candidate:

  • University Degree or Diploma 
  • Technical background in construction & micropiling/piling industry
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in CRM (Customer Relationship) software
  • Track record in business development and growing sales
  • Ability to differentiate by providing solutions to customers
  • Results driven
