David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Regional Business Development Manager based in Edmonton, AB.   

The successful candidate will focus on growth clients and opportunities in the O&G construction market and be accountable for revenue generation and tracking progress in this environment.   

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, and experienced in tactical growth planning, and account management.   Our client has engaged passionate leaders who hire high performing individuals and will invest in your success!

The Role:

  • Create and execute a business development strategy designed to generate new business for our clients’ product offering.
  • Develop new business leads through cold calling, networking at industry events and participation in various industry associations and professional groups.
  • Continually sharpen your skillset and abilities through attendance of appropriate sales and training courses.
  • Promote the company’s image and develop contacts through participation in various relevant outside organizations including trade shows.
  • Monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets for our clients’ product offering and develop strategic plans to capture those markets.
  • Manage and maintain prospect database.
  • Work with Project Services team, and company leadership to develop quotations and project proposals to help win projects.
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the O&G marketplace.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing, or related field.
  • Knowledge of costing and estimation best practices from the construction industry will support your success with this role.
  • Previous experience with business principles involved in resource allocation, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, (CRM system be an asset).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, results driven and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
