David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Branch Receptionist based in Edmonton, AB.
Our West end client, a well know environmental solutions organization, is looking for a Branch Receptionist to support them for a one month vacation coverage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the face of the company welcoming and greeting guests in a professional and courteous manner. The successful candidate will report directly to the Branch Assistant and support them in their various day-to-day tasks. Intermediate Word and Excel skills are essential for this position.
Greeting visitors in a professional manner
Answering about 100 phone calls per day, email inquiries and faxes in a timely manner reducing the amount of messages taken
Making sure front desk and kitchen is tidy and organized
Creating templates, spreadsheets and data entry of historic company information into their new data base
Photocopying, scanning and filing
Assisting with the update of their electronic filing process
Processing and delivering incoming and outgoing mail
Ordering office supplies when required
The Ideal Candidate:
Six (6) months of experience in a reception position
Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills, with the ability to work with spreadsheets and templates
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
Excellent organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and multi tasks
Strong time management
