David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Bilingual Communications Coordinator on a 6 month contract. Our client is an accomplished association supporting members across Canada. 

The successful candidate will work alongside the Managing Director of Communications to oversee the strategic marketing and communications portfolio. You will have complete ownership of newsletters, webpages, press releases, and social media accounts.

The Role:

  • Coordinates updates to the Organization’s website, including editorial preparation, writing and coding updates.
  • Coordinates the monthly newsletters, including editorial planning, writing and coding of the newsletter.
  • Coordinates the Organization’s social media efforts on YouTube and Twitter.
  • Maintains distribution lists and proofs various communication pieces.
  • Produces audio-visual content for educational purposes.
  • Reviews documents, forms, and policies for QA and internal process improvements.
  • Helps other project outreach initiatives and communication plans.
  • Writes SOPs and other technical guides as required.
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum five years’ experience working in a comparable field.
  • BA Communications, Public Relations, or another related field or combination of experience.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe InDesign and WordPress.
  • Experience with social media platforms.
  • Excellent verbal, written and editorial skills in English and French.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Able to handle stressful situations within tight deadlines.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and responsibilities in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders is critical.
