David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Bilingual Account Manager / Inside Sales.

Primary Job Purpose:

The role is extremely important in the development and nurturing of key ISS, SRS, IRS, & ORT accounts to build relationships & drive growth. The Inside Sales & Customer Support representative’s purpose is to build and manage relationships, and to drive growth in an assigned territory of existing small to medium sized customers. It requires effective time management between Customer Service duties & Inside Sales duties, ensuring the assigned territory is receiving the proper attention.

This role provides a superior level of customer service and sales support services to all customers & and supports the Company Vision and Values and represents our Client in a professional manner at all times to Customers, Suppliers, Employees, and Stakeholders.

The Role:

Customer Support and development of customer relationships:
  • Directly responsible for customer account service with focus on developing the business, communicating and selling specific products, promotions and offers to achieve sales objectives. Retain and develop relationships with customers
  • Main Responsibilities
    • Order taking
    • Notify customers of back-orders,  when applicable
    • Troubleshoot orders received by fax/e-mail
    • Process customer returns and rectify errors on orders
    • Order add-ons
    • Confirming addresses for returned mail
    • Account updates and new customer contacts
    • Purolator system & order tracking
    • Monitoring and following up on  sample shipments
    • Building your product knowledge on Kiwi/Tana –  pertaining to ISS, SRS, IRS accounts, plus Prosthetic/Orthotic needs - pertaining to ORT accounts
    • Promoting new products and providing product, pricing and business-related updates to customers phoning for orders (monthly flyers, product updates, price notices, etc.)
    • Keeping sales reps current on any potential concerns or issues with their accounts
    • Identifying new opportunities  within existing customers, and prospects. Develop and sustain good relationships with all customers with excellent call strategy (use of scripts, presentation list manager, etc.)
    • Responsible for checking the Hold for Stock bin every Monday, to ensure revised ETA’s are being communicated effectively to the       customer
Inside Sales: 
  • Ongoing/regular Contact via telephone promoting new products and providing product, pricing and business-related updates relating to new and discontinued products, pricing updates, and monthly flyers and special
  • Customer calls according to agreed call rates and parameters, and to provide support to Account Development Manager in   growing the business with new accounts and new business
  • Communication within sales team and customers - provide support, feedback & updates to the sales team as well as customers.  Assist sales with developing assigned accounts, to promote new products, and other company initiatives as necessary
  • Achievement of agreed sales and call targets as assigned by Account Development Manager
  • Utilizes CRM process to track, support and manage their business
  • Immediately identifying & communicating any potential loss of business, as well as being proactive with new leads and new potential business
  • Assists at agreed Industry Trade Shows (Toronto) and events when required
  • Develop and increase product & customer knowledge to assist in sales growth: Kiwi/Tana and other shoe care products,     shoe repair and backroom supplies pertaining to assigned territory.  Further product & customer knowledge to expand into ORT accounts
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of national and local market trends, opportunities to develop new business and react to market conditions
  • Special projects as determined by the Account Development Manager
  • Maintains & organizes workflow and efficiency, and recommends improvements where necessary
Special Projects:
  • Lead generation
  • Tana All Protector bookings
  • Biotime pre-bookings 
  • Special projects as determined by the Account Development Manager
  • Regular communication with customers, assist in developing relationships
  • Ensure effective communication with Account Development Manager at all times
  • Recommend management action to improve standard operation, procedures, processes, equipment and methods in inside sales departments
  • At all times treat all National Shoe employees and business partners with respect
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must be fluent in both English and French
  • Excellent customer service & selling skills, ability to develop relationships
  • Be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) with strong computer skills, analytical, commercial ability
  • Ability with basic mathematics, able to calculate figures with a strong attention to detail (discounts, proportions, percentages
  • Must be highly organized, able to work independently, and have an ability to work under pressure to coordinate multiple requests and meet competing deadlines
  • Needs to have high personal integrity and be willing to take responsibility for performance
  • A logical mind with the capacity to overcome difficult problems creatively
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others and create professional relations with all National Shoe employees and   business partners
  • Based on PMDP reviews, enroll in courses that support indicated areas of improvement based on Management recommendation and approval
