New opportunity available for an experienced Banking Administrator to join the Corporate Trust division of a well-respected Canadian Bank. The successful candidate will be part of a happy, energetic workplace and will join a team of experienced Banking Administrators who have been working together successfully for the last number of years. The current team members pride themselves on a strong work ethic, great team-spirit and togetherness and also a drive to make the division as successful as possible

The Role:
  • Keep daily contact with broker / dealer clients, responding to questions in a timely manner and escalating as appropriate in order to ensure quality customer service
  • Provide guidance and ensure compliance with tax and pension legislation
  • Build strong client relationships 
  • Facilitate ongoing cost savings / process improvement reviews and initiatives through to implementation
  • Oversee processing of monthly pension payments and maintain pensioner records
  • Prepare and issue fee invoices
  • Prepare daily wires to / deposit incoming funds from broker / dealer clients
  • Review and approve estate settlements and prepare required tax slips
  • Process taxable payments and prepare applicable tax slips.
  • Distribute and monitor receipt of the quarterly and annual compliance certificates to broker / dealer and agency clients 
  • Distribute and monitor receipt of the monthly OSFI forms for suppression of terrorism and sanctions
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 2+ years of banking/trust or related experience
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of registered plans (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, RESP) operations and legislation
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ensures and maintains client satisfaction with the product and services offered 
  • Client-driven approach
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
