David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our Downtown client to recruit a GOVERNMENT AS6 Administrator for an 8 month opportunity with the possibility of extension.

Our client, a division of the Government, is looking for a well-organized AS6 to assist the Executive Director of the department while they recruit on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, detail oriented, adaptable, patient and have previous Provincial Government Experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are needed for this role.

The Role:

  • Assist the Executive Director in all administrative tasks required
  • Setting up meetings, keeping the Executive Director organized and informed of arrangements
  • Taking meeting minutes, typing them up and distributing them
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations for the Executive Director
  • Processing expenses and formatting documents
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Creating correspondences and answering emails/phone calls for the Executive Director
  • Coordinating events
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director
The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 3 years' experience as an AS6 is Required
  • Experience in ARTS and IMAGIS is required
  • Solid Microsoft Word skills with the ability to create correspondence and use templates and headers and footers
  • Solid Microsoft Excel Skills with the ability to create spreadsheets and record and track data
  • A quick learner with exceptional multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
