David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Administrative Assistant based in Edmonton, AB.

Our client, a well-known Energy firm located downtown, is looking for an Administrative Assistant for a 10-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Risk Management, and Internal Audit, you will be responsible for to provide a broad spectrum of administrative support to the team.

The Role:

  • Invoice processing, purchase-card explain claim entry, resolution and reconciliation
  • Support and coordination for new employees
  • Coordinate conferences and meetings
  • Assist in booking catering, travel, activities, and conferences
  • Work with leadership team to develop efficient and cost-effective workflows
  • Represent RMIA at Floor Fire Warden Committee Meetings
  • Administration of the Access Control system and Background Check program
  • Preparation and maintenance of the Contingency Planning dashboard

The Ideal Candidate:

  • High School Graduate, preferably with post-secondary experience or diploma
  • 2 years recent  office administration is essential
  • Intermediate Microsoft office and SharePoint user
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experience or training in accounting or internal controls is an asset
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment
