David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a talented Accounts Payable Coordinator to work within an established Not-for-Profit environment in Ottawa, ON.
The incumbent would be reporting to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for providing support on a range of accounting functions including, but not limited to, processing invoices, issuing payments and verifying purchase orders.
Responsible for purchase orders including verifying and ensuring accurate budget coding and signing authority, processing purchase orders, outstanding P/O reports, and reconciliations with accounts payable.
Responsible for accounts payable including verifying and ensuring accurate budget coding, allowable expenditures, signing authority, processing supplier invoices, expense claims, and payments as well as preparing reconciliation on accounts payable and vendors inquiries.
Responsible for reconciling acquisitions Visa account and following up on discrepancies.
Responsible for maintaining the pre-paid expense schedule and processing journal entries.
The Ideal Candidate:
College diploma in accounting or business.
2-3 years of experience working in an accounting environment.
Knowledge of Accpac and Excel.
Strong organizational and customer service skills.
Skilled team player.
Excellent oral and written communications in English.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Dependability and punctuality are essential.
Sound judgment, courtesy, discretion and attention to confidentially.
Ability to complete multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingualism and Current enrollment in a CGA or CMA program would be an asset.
