David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Account Manager based in Edmonton, AB. 

The Account Manager will be part of our client’s sales and project team and you will be in the office on the phone and out in the field accordingly. This position will be a combination of active account management, focusing on growth with existing clients and suppliers, with direct application to the drilling contractors in the geotechnical market sector.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work for an empowering Sales Manager in a work environment that will challenge and stimulate you for professional growth.  

The Role:

  • Assist customers with buying decisions and all other queries, including after-sales questions and concerns
  • Meet with potential customers to grow, maintain, and leverage your network into the drilling contractor marketplace
  • Negotiate terms and prepare sales quotes as necessary
  • Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
  • Report on sales activity
  • Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns, as well as any improvements that may be required
  • Prepare annual sales reports
  • Maintain awareness of competitor’s products, pricing, and offerings while continuously learning and growing your own product knowledge
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the industrial O&G marketplace with an emphasis on the drilling contractors
  • Experience working with sales process system such as Sandler, SPIN or Miller Heiman
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills are required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude
  • An action-oriented personality and strong time-management skills are an asset
