Located in Hamilton, ON, our client a global leader in Building Automation Systems is currently seeking a motivated and driven individual with a proven sales record to join their Hamilton team. 

The Account Executive, Building Automation Systems, will be responsible for the sale of HVAC equipment and controls. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Executive will work in an environment that promotes teamwork, integrity, and diversity.

The Role:
  • Promote the organization’s value proposition to construction community by providing business and technical solutions
  • Build and manage long term customer relationships/partnerships with assigned accounts;
  • Be engaged and responsible for customer satisfaction and loyalty while working in conjunction with other operations partners
  • Be able to position renewable service agreements as a foundation of managed account relationships
  • Execute the sales process to aid in managing long-term relationships and in seeking out, qualifying and closing new sales opportunities;
  • Utilize sales tools to plan and document sales progress as well as increase business opportunities across all Building Technologies and Solutions lines of the business in assigned accounts;
  • Seek to expand the depth and breadth of the organization’s offerings sold within assigned accounts;
  • Actively participate as a member on select account teams on key and target customer accounts;
  • Lead the account team (market customer leader) on assigned target and key accounts where significant growth opportunities exist and more robust expertise is required from others to solidify the opportunity.
  • Handling sales in the construction community in Kitchener/ Waterloo area this role will be positioned out of the Hamilton branch.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • A minimum of (5)+ years of progressive field sales experience
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills
  • At least three years successfully selling HVAC equipment or Building automation system industry.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or MBA preferred. 
  • Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business.
  • A network of business contacts with the Kitchener-Waterloo construction market will be an asset.
