David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced Account Executive. 

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the successful incumbent will be responsible for creating new sales opportunities and also working from a funnel of pre-qualified leads for demos. The Account Executive will also uncover the prospects business challenges and requirements to help them achieve better business outcomes. This position will require some travel throughout the year for client visits and tradeshows.

The Role: 

  • Conduct product demonstrations for prospects via web, telephone, and face to face meetings.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of the organizations products and services, as well as sales objectives, strategies, pricing, and implementation of policies and practices.
  • Plan, organize and maintain a personal sales plan to meet annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Draft and deliver proposals.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing customer relationships as an important source for new opportunities and sales.
  • Keep SalesForce updated daily with activities, changes, and new opportunity information.
  • Reporting on actual sales results as well as future business forecasting.
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of B2B software sales experience, ideally within the Investigations/HR/Loss Prevention space and ideally WITH SaaS based software products.
  • History of exceeding revenue targets by displaying successful solution selling skills and an understanding of how to manage high volume sales activities.
  • Strong experience working through large requirements/RFP responses.
  • Experience in selling to public and private sector customers across North America.
  • High effective presentation and closing skills.
  • Skilled in detailed contract reviews and negotiations.
  • Proven ability to conduct software product demonstrations for technical and non-technical Executives.
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM and Office software.
  • Great communication skills, strong enterprise level sales experience and product knowledge are vital for success.
