We are seeking an experienced VP of Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across a growing, multi-site manufacturing organization.
This executive-level role will oversee manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, safety, continuous improvement, and operational technology. Working closely with senior leadership, the VP of Operations will translate business objectives into operational priorities, improve performance, and build the systems, processes, and leadership capability required to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop and execute operational strategy aligned with growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.
- Lead manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, safety, and continuous improvement functions.
- Establish clear KPIs, operating rhythms, and accountability across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and profitability.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Improve production planning, scheduling, labour utilization, equipment utilization, inventory, and throughput.
- Provide leadership to engineering and technical teams across product development, industrialization, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing readiness.
- Lead the adoption and optimization of ERP, automation, AI, reporting, and workflow technologies.
- Strengthen quality systems, corrective action processes, and operational reliability.
- Support capacity planning, capital investment, operational risk assessment, and budgeting.
- Build and develop a high-performing operations leadership team, including succession planning and talent development.
- Maintain executive accountability for workplace health, safety, and regulatory compliance across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, ideally at a senior or executive level.
- Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience leading complex operations and managing other operational or technical leaders.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, quality systems, supply chain, and operational performance management.
- Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing operating budgets and contributing to capital investment decisions.
- Experience overseeing engineering or technical functions alongside manufacturing operations.
- Strong experience with ERP systems, operational reporting, and process optimization.
- Ability to operate effectively across multiple sites and travel regularly between locations.
- Strong business and financial acumen with a focus on measurable results.
- Proven ability to build teams, develop leaders, manage change, and create accountability.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and operational excellence.
Experience scaling a growing organization, leading multi-site operations, implementing or optimizing ERP systems, and working as part of an executive leadership team would be considered strong assets.
