Aplin is seeking an experienced OT Infrastructure & Security Analyst to support a critical utility operations environment. This role will focus on maintaining, securing, and enhancing Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure and power management systems that support real-time operations.
The successful candidate will work across infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and industrial control systems to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of OT infrastructure and power control systems.
- Monitor and maintain cybersecurity controls within operational environments to ensure compliance with established security standards and best practices.
- Participate in change management, access management, vulnerability management, and system recovery activities.
- Assist in the implementation and support of security technologies, including SIEM platforms, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint protection, and application whitelisting solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting SCADA networks, communications systems, and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform log collection, correlation, analysis, and reporting to identify security threats and operational concerns.
- Support infrastructure lifecycle activities, including patch management, system upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and infrastructure records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, security posture, and operational resilience.
- Contribute to additional infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives as required.
- SCADA, ADMS, OMS/DMS, or other real-time operational systems
- SIEM and log management platforms
- Network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint security solutions
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- Virtualization technologies across servers, desktops, and network infrastructure
- Enterprise storage and server platforms
- Database administration and support
- Scripting and automation tools
- Data analytics and reporting solutions such as Power BI, SQL Reporting Services, and RegEx
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience for intermediate-level professionals and 10+ years for senior-level candidates.
- Experience supporting critical infrastructure, industrial environments, utilities, or Operational Technology (OT) systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and supporting change management processes.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP or other regulated cybersecurity frameworks is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting secure industrial control systems environments is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
