We’re seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic specializing in surface drills to join a high-performing mining operation. If you take pride in keeping drill fleets running at peak performance and want a role that offers top-tier pay, excellent camp conditions, and a balanced schedule, this is worth a serious look.
What You’ll Get:
- Competitive pay – $150,000 – 170,000, commensurate with experience
- Consistent 12-hour shifts with equal time on/off rotations
- Fly-in/fly-out travel fully covered

Your Role:
You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of surface drilling equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and safe operation. This includes:
- Troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on drill rigs and support equipment
- Supporting continuous improvement in equipment reliability
Equipment Focus:
- Surface drill rigs (experience with Epiroc, Sandvik, or similar OEMs strongly preferred)
- Rotary and DTH (down-the-hole) drilling systems
- Associated support equipment
What You Bring:
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (mandatory)
- Proven experience working on surface mining drill rigs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
