We’re expanding our Projects team in Vancouver and are hiring a Project Cost Analyst to support cost tracking and financial oversight across an active portfolio of capital projects. This is a 12-month contract role within an owner’s project team, working closely with engineering, procurement, and construction partners.
This role is well suited for someone with project accounting or project controls experience who enjoys being close to the work, participating in project discussions, and bringing a confident, proactive approach to cost and financial tracking.
This position is fully in office, downtown Vancouver.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support project accounting and cost control activities across multiple projects
- Track project costs, forecasts, commitments, and variances
- Prepare cost reports, variance analysis, and financial summaries for project teams and leadership
- Partner with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to support cost visibility and governance
- Use project systems such as Unifier (with a transition underway to SAP) to maintain accurate cost data
- Assist with forecasting, accruals, and project month-end activities
- Identify issues early, ask questions, and contribute to continuous improvement of project cost processes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in an owner’s team, EPC, or EPCM environment supporting project accounting or project controls
- Comfortable working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
- A confident, assertive communicator who can engage in project discussions and raise concerns when needed
- CPA designation not required; working toward CPA is an asset
- Experience with Unifier is an asset (not required)
- Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems is beneficial
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
