Our client is a well-established, independent insurance brokerage based in Toronto, currently hiring due to continued growth and an upcoming retirement. This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a collaborative environment that prioritizes client service and relationship management over aggressive sales targets.
You’ll support a personal lines book of approximately $2.5M in premium, working closely with producers and an in-house sales team. Cross-selling and upselling are primarily handled internally, allowing this role to focus on servicing, renewals, and delivering a high-quality client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process applications, endorsements, binders, renewals, cancellations, and invoicing using EPIC and carrier portals
- Conduct annual renewal reviews and risk exposure analysis
- Provide competitive quotes and recommend appropriate coverages
- Manage renewal lists, audits, binders, and aged receivables
- Prepare proof of insurance for financing and leasing companies
- Maintain accurate and compliant electronic client files in EPIC
- Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Build strong working relationships with clients and insurance company underwriters
- Support marketing communications and special projects as required
What We’re Looking For
- RIBO license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of personal lines experience in a brokerage environment
(3–5 years preferred) - Comfortable handling a high volume of phone-based client interactions
- Strong understanding of personal lines underwriting and coverages
- Experience using EPIC and company portals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Stable work history and a professional, client-focused approach
