We are hiring a Corporate Tax Associate for a newly created role within a growing corporate finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from public practice who enjoys preparing corporate tax returns (T2s), working across multiple entities, and contributing to process improvements as the function grows.

This position is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity structure. You’ll support corporate tax compliance, quarterly provisions, tax research, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll also play a key role in identifying efficiencies and contributing new ideas to improve processes.

This position is starting ASAP and will be a hybrid model in Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and support corporate tax returns (T2s) and related schedules
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions
  • Research tax legislation, issues, and rulings
  • Review financial information for tax implications and accuracy
  • Support internal teams with tax questions and compliance matters
  • Assist with audit requests and documentation
  • Maintain organized and accurate tax records and schedules
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and workflow enhancements
  • Support tax-related aspects of acquisitions and integrations
  • Collaborate with external advisors on complex issues and filings

Qualifications
  • Experience preparing corporate tax returns (T2s)—public practice experience strongly preferred
  • CPA designation or working toward a designation is an asset
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in corporate tax or a combination of tax and accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with TaxPrep, Caseware, or other tax software is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
