Our client, a well-respected law firm in Edmonton, is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant / Paralegal with experience in both Corporate and Litigation, to join their close-knit team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a firm where collaboration, camaraderie, and a supportive culture make it enjoyable to come to work every day.
This role blends administrative and paralegal responsibilities, supporting a corporate and litigation lawyer. You won’t bill your time like a paralegal, but you will handle a mix of admin and paralegal tasks.
Join a firm with a friendly, team-oriented culture—staff and lawyers enjoy working together, and the social committee organizes fun events throughout the year.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Comprehensive benefits from day one – you’re eligible immediately, with the firm covering most premium costs. Coverage includes prescriptions, extended dental, massage therapy, vision care, and more.
- Above-market RRSP matching – start contributing after your 3-month probation, with 3% matching after one year, increasing by 1% annually up to 5% (well ahead of the typical Edmonton market timeline).
- 10 paid sick days per year, banked for short-term leave to support your health and well-being when you need it.
- Generous vacation time – 3 to 4 weeks, depending on experience.
- Predictable, work-life-friendly hours – in-office schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
- Comprehensive training: Excellent two-week onboarding ensures you’re fully prepared for success.
- Professional growth: Work in a supportive environment where learning and development are encouraged.
- Active social committee fostering a fun, engaging, and collaborative workplace culture

- Prepare engagement letters, transaction documents, correspondence, presentations, organization charts, spreadsheets, and reports.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Legal Assistant program.
