Responsibilities
- Generate new commercial business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach
- Build and grow a personal portfolio of mid-to-large commercial clients
- Conduct discovery meetings, assess client needs, and deliver tailored insurance solutions
- Collaborate with internal underwriting, marketing, and support teams to prepare submissions and place business
- Maintain strong client relationships focused on long-term retention and growth
- Participate in ongoing performance meetings, sales coaching, and production planning
- Uphold high professional standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery
Qualifications
- RIBO license required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance sales/production experience (senior candidates strongly encouraged to apply)
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets and carrier appetites
- Track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating in a results-driven environment
- Existing book of business is an asset but not mandatory
