Aplin is partnering with a respected downtown Edmonton law firm to recruit an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal. This role supports a busy employment and general litigation practice, offering the opportunity to work on engaging, high-impact files within a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Management: Maintain organized digital and physical files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility; work in Justice Digital, KB filing, and e-filing platforms.
  • Court Filings: Prepare, file, and serve documents at all levels of court, ensuring compliance with procedural rules.
  • Litigation Support: Coordinate discoveries, mediations, and hearings; manage exhibits, undertakings, and deadlines.
  • Client & Counsel Liaison: Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and external providers.
  • Administrative Coordination: Manage scheduling, billing, and correspondence to keep matters on track.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide reliable support to lawyers and paralegals, contributing to a smooth-running practice.
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft 365; experience with Eclipse, IPro, Everlaw, iManage, or Acumin is an asset.
