ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Estimator passionate about collaborative project delivery to join the Vancouver team. This role will support cost certainty and value delivery from project conception through construction start, working on ICI, residential, recreation, and healthcare projects (long-term care experience preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate full-cost estimates across all project phases
- Lead estimating workshops to align costs with project goals
- Perform detailed material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor take-offs
- Establish and maintain unit costs, labour rates, escalation, and contingencies
- Solicit competitive bids, negotiate with subcontractors, and conduct value-engineering reviews
- Provide constructability advice and collaborate with operations teams
- Track estimated vs. actual costs and support continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subtrades, consultants, suppliers, and clients
THE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in estimating and 4+ years in construction management
- Experience in ICI, residential, recreational, or healthcare (long-term care preferred)
- CEC designation (CIQS); PQS preferred
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and cost-estimating software proficiency
- Ability to present complex cost data and influence decisions
COMPENSATION
- $110,000 – $150,000
