A well-established, diversified organization with decades of success across real estate, construction, hospitality, agriculture, and more is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This role sits within the real estate development arm and supports the accounting function in achieving month-end, quarter-end, and annual reporting objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio of entities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and tax teams to deliver accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
- Maintain, reconcile, and update key balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Respond to requests from senior leadership for financial reports and special analysis.
- Prepare internal reporting packages and assist in forecasting, including KPI reviews.
- Support the year-end audit process by preparing financial statements and working papers.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation efforts.
- Assist in preparing both stand-alone and consolidated monthly financial statements.
- Participate in finance-led initiatives and special projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field.
- CPA designation (or in progress), preferably with public practice background.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Real estate development industry experience is a strong asset.
- Proficient in Excel; exposure to Acumatica considered an advantage.
Compensation:
- $80,000-$90,000 + Bonus
