Senior Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, and tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Manage and execute full-cycle accounting engagements, including compilations and reviews
• Provide tax planning and compliance support for corporate and personal tax clients
• Analyze financial data and offer insights to improve client operations and tax efficiencies
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work
• Liaise with clients to address accounting and tax-related inquiries
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies within the firm

Qualifications:

• CPA designation is required
• 5+ years of experience in public practice
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax filings
• Proficiency in accounting and tax software
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
