Our client, a well-known name within the property management industry, is looking to expand their accounting team and looking for several accountants to join their commercial management team! This organization has grown from strength to strength over the last several years and is competing with the larger names within the industry through their award-winning developments and forward-thinking approach that makes them stand out from the rest!   
 
About the Position
Reporting to the Controller, the property accountant will be responsible for:
  • Prepare month end financial statements, management reports, including variance analysis and account reconciliations.
  • Perform management fee billings, rent roll billings, and tenant chargebacks.
  • Prepare cashflow and monthly distributions.
  • Prepare annual CAM and Tax recovery reconciliations and billings.
  • Prepare year-end working papers, budgets, expense reports and track capital expenditures.
  • Review and enter new leases.
  • Review AP/AR invoices and update property recovery matrix.

The Requirements
  • 3+ years of property accounting experience.
  • Experience working with commercial properties is an asset.
  • Experience working with Yardi or Sage 300 is an asset  

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $65,000 to $78,000 + Discretionary Bonus.
  • Hybrid Working – 2 days working from home per week.
  • 3 weeks’ vacation.
  • Extended health and dental.
  • RRSP matching.
