Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of hiring activities and processes, including developing forward-thinking HR recruiting practices, including the ongoing development of employer branding
  • Oversee the onboarding of all new employees and continuously measure and assess the program’s effectiveness
  • Support managers and employees through the full cycle of the annual Performance Management Process, ensuring consistent application and follow through across all teams, and act as an advisor on performance issues
  • Support managers and employees through professional development discussions, identifying resources, and providing employees with access to the required information/sources to help them grow in their roles
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all relevant employment-related legislation, educate managers and employees on HR policies, programs, and processes, and continuously monitor to ensure effective and current
  • Proactively help to maintain strong, positive, and rewarding relationships with employees by managing all aspects of employee relations, and by effectively balancing the needs of employees and the organization

 


Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of Human Resources experience
  • CHRP designation an asset, university, or college education
  • Conversational French is a must
  • Knowledge of all provincial Employment/Labor Standards
  • Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation, creativity in problem-solving, and a passion for people.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills 
  • Possesses the ability to establish rapport quickly, gain the respect and trust of others, and be sensitive to other viewpoints and issues. 
  • Exhibits strong organization and decision-making skills; keen attention to detail and accuracy, and a proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
