We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Specialist to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves managing and supporting a robust global infrastructure while contributing to local end-user support in Calgary. Their strategy prioritizes a "cloud-first" approach, making this an exciting opportunity for candidates with a strong technical background and exposure to cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Global Infrastructure Support (80%)
  • Manage and support Active Directory, including attributes, schema, ADSI Edit, and trust relationships.
  • Administer virtualization technologies, primarily VMWare ESXi.
  • Oversee application deployment and patching using Tanium.
  • Support and optimize cloud solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Manage Commvault backup solutions and Checkpoint endpoint security.
  • Perform IT infrastructure capacity management, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and OSI model basics.
  • Calgary End-User Support (20%)
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for local users.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
Core Technical Expertise:
  • Microsoft Active Directory (including GPO management).
  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Office 365 & Azure administration.
  • VMWare ESXi virtualization.
  • Tanium for app deployment and patching.
  • Checkpoint endpoint security solutions.
Additional Technical Skills:
    • Microsoft DFS, Intune, and SCCM.
    • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, OSI model).
    • Commvault backup solutions.
    • Microsoft Teams (front and back-end support).
    • Duo multi-factor authentication and ServiceNow platform.
    Preferred Attributes:

      • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
      • Exposure to and enthusiasm for cloud-first strategies.

      Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and support.
      • Demonstrated expertise across the listed applications and technologies.
      • Experience with IT infrastructure capacity management.
