Our client headquartered in the Vancouver area, has partnered with Aplin to help find an experienced Sales Director to grow their team across Canada. They are looking for someone who aspires to be part of a senior leadership team and is experienced in developing and implementing successful sales strategies. Our client has a strong reputation, with investors backing them, and they have built a fantastic brand with clients nationally. Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement operational improvement processes
  • Manage the sales team, train, mentor, and motivate
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Establish and set annual sales targets for the team
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual quotas and projecting expected sales volumes and profit
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Work closely with other senior-level leaders to execute strategies and achieve sales targets
  • Track changing trends, economic indicators, competitors, and supply and demand
  • Research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Work with the marketing, innovate and develop more effective ways to sell the products
  • Analyze sales variables, generating "insights" and activities
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Sales Executive, AND Sales Manager OR Sales Director
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting, or exceeding targets
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Performance reviews and ongoing mentoring and training of the sales team
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
