Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Controller, this is a varied role that will appeal to a problem solver who enjoys supporting a fast paced multi entity finance area.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
• Assist in consolidation accounting
• Assist with month end close activities including reconciliations and government filings
• Support annual budgeting process
• Support board reporting including MD&A
• Prepare various internal reports
• Other ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications: 

• Accounting designation is considered an asset - Canadian CPA or foreign designation
• Will support someone in CPA PEP program
• Working knowledge of ASPE and Canadian tax rules
• Public practice experience is considered an asset
• Experience with Great Plains and/or Caseware is considered an asset
• Process oriented, organized and timely
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
