Engineering Lead

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction and leadership to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.
• Drive the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve the team's efficiency.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, delivered within scope.
• Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and monitor progress against these metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure project success.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging open communication, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices
• Promote a culture of accountability and ownership within the team, emphasizing the importance of code quality and technical debt management.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in technology, processes, and tools.
• Identify potential risks in engineering projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
• Proactively address issues as they arise, preventing them from escalating and affecting project outcomes.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or a related field is typically required.
• Proficiency in the core technical skills relevant to the engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical design, software development, electrical systems).
• 2 to 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or lead engineering role.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and standards within the relevant field.
