Aplin has partnered with our client, a leading company in the building products industry, to hire a Building Supplies Estimator. Based in Moncton, NB, this role serves customers across the Atlantic provinces. The Estimator will be responsible for managing customer inquiries and estimating costs for building supplies, with a focus on windows and doors. This role requires working closely with customers to provide product information, process orders, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-oriented approach, and technical expertise in building supply measurements and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming inquiries and provide accurate cost estimates for windows, doors, and other building supplies.
  • Offer expert guidance on product options, features, and technical specifications to meet customer needs with the best solutions.
  • Process and manage orders from initial inquiry through to delivery, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service, addressing concerns, and offering proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge and industry trends to effectively assist customers and identify sales opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of all estimating and sales activities in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in estimating, inside sales, customer service, or a related role, preferably within the building supplies or windows and doors industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of building supply measurements, installation requirements, and product specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to building long-lasting relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset.
