The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of Production line employees on their shift. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating all activities related to safety, production efficiency, and quality to achieve company objectives at the highest quality levels and lowest possible cost.

  • Supervise Daily Activities: Optimize production factors (material, labor, and machinery), provide pertinent information to Department Managers, organize all phases of production (Preparation, Moulding, Packaging), manage inventory, secure adequate packaging/raw materials, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Shift Handover: Ensure a smooth transition and complete all shift handover responsibilities, support the Line Leader and Quality Department in reporting issues, support the planning of operation activities, participate in equipment start-up, inspect cleaning and sanitation activities, and compile shift reports.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards, work within food safety program guidelines (HACCP, GMP), support periodic sanitation measures, evaluate product quality, and maintain food safety standards.
  • Workplace Safety: Ensure health & safety compliance, report incidents/accidents, participate in quality and safety audits, and manage accidents/incidents with the support of First Aid responders, Line Leaders, and the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
  • Human Resources Management: Allocate employees on production lines, manage employee absenteeism, document scheduled vacations and unscheduled illnesses, perform employee performance reviews, manage personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources, and ensure workplace training requirements are met.

  • Experience: At least three years as a Line Leader or Supervisor in a manufacturing setting. Experience in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods industry is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with production lines and machinery, production performance indicators, technological processes, and stock management.
  • Skills: Mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot technical problems, dedication to food safety, quality, and sanitation policies, demonstrated problem-solving, leadership, and team-building skills, and experience with employee training.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime shifts to support a growing operation.

  • Position Type: Full-time permanent position.
  • Shifts: Day/Afternoon rotating shift (weekly).
