Join a top employer and advance your career. Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to hire a Technical IT Manager based in Calgary. In this role, you will manage vendor relationships and represent the business's best interests while providing technical guidance and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee projects and solutions within broader business initiatives.
  • Manage critical IT tasks and systems administration.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, hardware, and software.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Plan, organize, and evaluate IT and data operations.
  • Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with vendors to ensure data security, network access, and backup systems.
  • Align IT systems with user needs and organizational policies.
  • Identify and resolve problematic areas with strategic solutions.
  • Audit systems and evaluate their performance.
  • Manage the IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze departmental needs to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Continuously seek process, technology, and vendor improvements.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for upgrades and monitor vendor performance.
  • Train employees on IT systems and provide technical support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information technology or computer science.
  • Expertise in operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory).
  • Up to date on current technologies, backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
