This role is fully on-site - located near the Edmonton International Airport.

Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and procurement of goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Preparing and evaluating bids, especially for government customers.
  • Researching and evaluating opportunities to improve operational efficiency and support continuous improvement strategies.
  • Negotiating prices and business terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and best procurement practices.
  • Evaluating supplier performance and managing improvement activities.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintaining a professional and consistent approach in all customer and supplier relationships.
  • Processing customer orders, arranging transportation, and expediting shipments when necessary.
  • Ensuring a continuous supply of required goods and materials, communicating any potential supply issues.
  • Exploring alternative sources for goods and materials.
  • Preparing purchase orders based on final negotiations and organizational requirements.
  • Resolving price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues with suppliers.
  • Working independently while also being effective in a team environment.
  • Maintaining high-performance standards and committing to the company's quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards and values.
  • Adhering to company standards and values.
Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years of experience in sourcing and managing suppliers.
  • Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, or other relevant discipline.
  • Product knowledge of industrial MRO and lubricants is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Maximo and Oracle preferred.
  • Professional approach to vendor and customer relationship management.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent written/verbal communication.
  • Proficient in MS software applications.
  • Excellent communicator, eye for detail, go-getter, and able to follow tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable mindset and enthusiasm for learning new things.
  • Natural ability as an expediter, understanding clients' needs and willing to dive in.
