Aplin has partnered with our client to recruit a contract Payroll Specialist responsible for the administration of payroll in compliance with government regulations, payroll accounting, benefits administration and other administrative duties as required. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable of the relevant Alberta legislative standards related to Employment. This is an on-site position.

  • Payroll processing using Sparkrock 365 for 200+ employees on a bi-weekly basis
  • Prepare and issue Records of Employment to terminate staff, issue T4 and T4A’s
  • Develop and upgrade of Payroll related standardized templates/procedure manuals to ensure compliance with the company’s requirements
  • Employee benefits administration
  • Support other HR projects and initiatives
  • Graduate of relevant post-secondary course/Payroll, Accounting, or Human Resources from a recognized institution
  • PCP Certification is preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant payroll experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with payroll systems; experience with Sparkrock 365 payroll system is an asset
