Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our client, a small commercial construction company on the east side of Winnipeg, to recruit a dynamic Office Manager. This is a full-time permanent Monday-Friday opportunity.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced office professional who loves being the go-to person and wearing multiple hats. The successful candidate will have a blend of administrative and accounting experience and be eager to learn new things.

Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Supporting the external accountant with annual reporting.
  • Supporting the General Manager with scheduling and meeting logistics.
  • Supporting administration of HR policies and new hire onboarding.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the office from coordinating snow removal to ordering office supplies.
  • Providing administrative support to the project management team as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in an office manager or coordinator role.
  • Previous bookkeeping experience and a demonstrated understanding of accounting principles are a must-have.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • A detail-oriented, analytical, and resourceful approach.
  • Strong professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
  • An ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with Sage50 is an asset.
