This contract-based position will be full-time for 2 months with an opportunity for ongoing project-based hours after.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the entire competitive bidding process, ensuring timely acquisition of best value while mitigating legal and financial risks.
  • Evaluate and advise internal stakeholders on optimal competitive contracting practices to align with business objectives.
  • Engage in negotiations with vendors and service providers to establish contract terms meeting end-user needs.
  • Streamline bidding procedures, fostering communication and collaboration among involved parties.
  • Provide guidance on vendor relationship management to enhance value and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements through continuous analysis and lessons learned to drive cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of corporate procurement policies and educate staff to uphold ethical standards and positive external perception.
  • Make informed decisions on project timelines and process compromises, balancing competing interests effectively.
  • Address interpersonal conflicts and manage diverse project requirements to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of competitive contracting experience
  • CPP professional designation
  • Business degree or equivalent
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of bidding laws and procurement practices
  • Contract negotiation experience
